Sane one's insanity

by Shædow Poet   Nov 11, 2005

Immaculate, I wipe the knife
Another scar, the second time
It merely grates on my fervent desire.

My shaky wrist edges up to my tainted lips
Lustful, my tongue twirls over the blood
I regurgitate the lost cells I dripped.

Upon my quenching, there’s a cool breeze
Shuddering, I wrap around the singular blanket
The cave contracts upon my insanity.

The unholy knife locks itself in a box
It radiates in guilty contentment
Yet I bite my lips, my future’s wrath.

The scent is becoming more unbearable,
I push the old decaying corpse away
Not bearing a glimpsed at its dry carcass.

Metaphorically, the corpse’s body glows
It coats with a pure layer of my shamed tears
It almost makes up for its bloodless stream.

Sadistic, I am bravely a recluse
Away from the inner demons that taunt
They’re always prodding my mind.

I really don't know where to begin on this. I guess I'll start with the imagery. It's spine tingling. The way you described each movement....just wow! Next to the flow, very nice. It didn't break at all. Finally to the actual content, very well expressed. I also admire the intriguing title. Overall, very awesome! Take care~Holly
