Little heart

by Bibbitt CSI537   Nov 11, 2005

I was walking home like i do everyday,
when i stopped to see a heart in my way.
i bent down beside it and touched its head,
looked back at my hand which was now crimson red.
"why are you bleeding?" i asked little heart,
"this boy came up to me and ripped me apart.
he was so cute. made me smile and laugh,
'til one day he took me and tore me in half"
i looked at the heart and held up its head,
a tear fell down its cheek and soon it was dead.
i felt so sad and my chest started to hurt,
the pain was intense and there was blood on my shirt.
in the distance was a light as bright as a star,
and i could see it was you who was standing so far.
you walked toward me and kneeled down,
forced your hand through my chest and watched me frown.
you pulled out the heart i saw earlier that day,
when i stopped earlier and saw that heart in my way.
you ripped it in half just like before,
then you left, leaving my heart on the floor.
i watched it suffer there where it lay,
my chest closed up and i walked away.
and as i was walking home like i do every day,
i stopped to see a heart in my way...
