Hide

by the one you forgot   Nov 11, 2005

You look down on me,
Like I embarrass you.
Save the disgust,
For this is my last day.
It's all past,
Save the pity,
At least try to hide your relief,
And cover it with fake grief,
And sorrow.
So hide your emotions,
Hide behind a mask
Of your oh-so-perfect expressions and emotions,
That show and give away nothing.
Well, nothing that you wanted to keep.
Because that's how it is in this world,
Hide, cover up, lie.
And never show guilt or regret.
Yes, that's how it is in this world.
Yes, that's how it always will be.
