Emptiness.

by Steven Beesley   Nov 11, 2005

Emptiness:

In a bottomless void,
the time seems to stand still.
There is no light at the end
of any tunnel to be found.

Only the emptiness that surrounds me,
the emptiness that is within.
No other person around,
the bland and silent dimension I am in.

The mind is a blank,
nothing of concern will fill in the gap.
Withdrawn from everything I see,
questioning every single path I take.

An unearthly calm that will not subside.
Shattering numbness creeps in.
No laughter, joy or fear nor hate.
Only the emptiness.

I am shackled and bound.
An invisible gag.
I have no escape from this incarceration,
There is no ground to be found.

Steven ...this part says so much I am taken in by the use of these words...
You can feel the emotional sadness throughout the whole piece ...
Your writes are always so meaningful and expressive ..
Another brilliant piece , my friend

    Steven...

A triumph of poems! Very impressive write with deep emotions. You sound very trap and extremely empty. A tale of sad imprisonment.

    Keep smiling (",)
