Sweet Tears

Its hard to explain the way that they taste,
as a pain never replaced triggers a sensitive drop to trickle down my face,
for the longest moment I'm overwhelmed, powerless & over come,
until a single tear climbs down these haunted lips to the tip of my tongue,
& it reminds me of You, Your smile, Your eyes,
Your warmth when I held You, a Love uncontrollable & undenied,
I can taste the happiness that was You, I can taste Your lips,
its saturated me from the depths of my soul right up to my finger tips,
Baby I've begged for You & bled for You, but now I've accepted defeat,
because before tonight, Jaan, my tears have never tasted so sweet.

    A beautiful write! Very deep, filled with mixed emotions. I enjoyed reading this poem. The best poem I've read so far today. Your words touched me, they were creative and sweet. I, for some reason love poems about rain and tears. And the title of this poem caught my eye and I had to read. Job well done. 5/5.
