Ruby Red

by Kirsty   Nov 11, 2005

Pack your basket full up with dreams
Singing a song that you've not heard before
I guess you've had time to figure it out
To learn what the lyrics are written about

Lay on your smile sowed up to the seams
Walking the line and failing to stand
The shock in your eyes as they came to a close
But that is the misted bottle that you had chose

Ruby the name you was giving at birth
The first word you had to learn
And Ruby the name that you hold so dear
And also the last word you will ever hear

And you sink in the puddle soak in the earth
Fading into endless no turning back
As you take with you everything I ever said
I whisper goodbye to my Ruby Red
