The Lone ranger

by Bradley Peter   Nov 11, 2005

I don't want to love or be loved
I'd rather just be left alone
let all my relationships disintegrate
and all emotions turn to stone

i wish not to care for anyone
i wish no-one to care for me
emotional ties are like shackles
with them I'll never be free

we're all going to die anyway
what's the point of making friends
eventually they'll all leave
and I'll be left with only loose ends

so family, friends and lovers
I've destroyed what was there
because in my personal experience
it's better to just not care

    That's kind of sad, Bradley, it's apparent you haven't had many good experiences lately. This is a very direct poem, strong rhymes. I really like the title you chose for it. 5/5. Take care, smile!
