Pop

by the one you forgot   Nov 11, 2005

Popping pills like Skittles,
Sometimes I can't put them down,
Because it just needs to end.
All this madness, insanity, chaos,
Sometimes that's what you get addicted to.
All the yelling and screaming,
At each other's throats,
And I can't leave the pain behind.
Had this whole joke I believed,
Just for awhile,
And now everything is broke.
Broken, so broken,
But there stands your lies,
Here to accompany mine.
Stand side by side,
This'll last forever,
Until the day that I die.
So I stand here thinking,
Which way should I go?
Wondering where I can get a map.
And I realize
I have no place to go.
Running from this place,
And I realize
A blank conscience is just a bad memory,
And that's what your ailment is.
A bad memory,
So you only see the bad,
Ignoring all of my good,
What did you get wrong?
You say,
When you see only an 'A'-
No plus next to it.
No, it stands alone,
And so do I in this world.
Depression is rage without all the enthusiasm,
A blank conscience is a sign of bad memory.
And these are the rules I follow in my life,
My principal principles,
And I'll follow it in every way.
Until you say,
You have to go here, we have to talk.
And no we don't,
That's a lie,
I'll follow it till I die.
