Standby

by the one you forgot   Nov 11, 2005

You're dying,
I can see it in your eyes.
I'm dying,
Everyone can see it in mine.
And it doesn't matter who goes first,
Doesn't matter,
I'm going to lose anyways.
Can barely concentrate
On what is there,
On what is real to me,
Stuck in neutral as I watch others fly by,
Living their lives out,
But I'm stuck in standby.
So wrapped up in other people,
My life on standby.
