Lesson learned?

I hate myself more than ever,
because you said you loved me so.
I told you i didn't want this,
and that i needed time to grow.

I don't want to tell you i don't love you,
cuz' i know it'll rip you apart.
But i knew this wouldn't work out,
I knew it from the start.

Still I thought id give it ago,
they said "at least give it a shot!"
Now look where we are,
yeah, thanks guys, thanks a lot!

look where we're headed,
we're about to crash and burn.
I should have seen this coming,
Still, another lesson learned?

So i just want to tell you Ben,
that i loved you like a friend.
we were stupid to take it further,
because now every things at an end.
