It's where

I love this town that i grew up in
It was a good place to really begin

My tomboy ways still make me smile
And being a little girl too for a while

The people i grew up with, i couldn't ask for more
We stuck together, we were what we lived for

Working in our garages to building shacks up back
All of our memories written in white and black

The games, the mischief, and the fights
From sneaking out to shooting out street lights

From our first cigarette to our first beer
From our first four-wheeler to learning how to steer

We've lived a lifestyle that nobody could duplicate
We've got a daler reputation that nobody can eliminate

And as much as i love this town i live in
There's some battles that i just can't win

It's where my first kiss was...and first fight
It's where i learned what was wrong, and that nothing will be alright

It's where my friends raised me
And i watched them die slowly

It's where i was forced to do my best
It's where i experienced that whole topic of sex

It's where i learned how to fight
It's where i would run away from the night

This place is where my family turned against me
This home here turned to dark to see

It's where i started the drug addiction
It's where i can see a foggy prediction

It's where i learned to love and get hurt
It's where i learned to be boyish and play in the dirt

This town made me open my eyes
But also caused most of my cries

I love this place, i honestly do
I don't think there's another place it can compare to

But what do you do when you want to get out?
When you're completely lost in the middle of doubt?

You want to go but you want to stay?
You want to pack your bags and get away?

Would it be the same when you come back?
Will the blue skies fade to black?

It's where i fell but where i ran
It's where my life all began
