Salvation

by jenny tsao   Nov 12, 2005

Cry me a lonely river,
build me a lonely bridge.
I crossed the river by myself,
I walked the bridge alone.

I know I hurt you,
but you hurt me as well.
Nothing was gained,
yet everything was lost.

I tried to give you everything,
I stood by you as well.
So take away this wretched life,
so that none will be hurt once more.

Writing poems and singing songs,
means nothing now,
for I've lost myself.

You were my salvation,
who gave me nothing but hope.
