Thanksgiving Table

by Lola Granny   Nov 12, 2005

Dear Heavenly Father as we bow our heads today We join in prayer for the blessings that you have sent our way Giving thanks for all the joy you brought to us not only in time of play Reaching out and also helping others when their lives are in such dismay Gathering together at the family table for a feast of array Thanking you Lord in so many different ways We thank you for the air that we breath and need each day Also for giving us our children as we watch them grow into mature adults before they stray From the homes where we gather thoughts and say prayers to keep our children from harms ways We thank you Lord for the sun and the engery that it protrays And for the eagles and birds that soar in our skies of blue and grey Also for the green grass and farmers fields made of golden hay As they harvest our foods that is brought to our tables in so many different ways But most of all Lord we give thanks to you for making the family come together today And joining in the prayers and thanking you for the beautiful arrays From a family that has been torn apart but still has time to gather and pray As we give thanks for our daily blessings in our own speical way While gathered together at the family table on this Thanksgiving Day

{Amen}
