My shadow

My Shadow
Forever and a day ago on a Saturday
I lost my shadow
I tried and tried to find it.
It was truly hard to find I admit.
Then I found you while I was flying around
You took up some thread and a needle
And sewed it right back for to me
As a reward I sprinkled a little dust around you
And took you home with me.
You helped me grow up and now I see
It was you who mended me.
