Darkness hides the light within

by Kris Lynn   Nov 13, 2005

Darkness surrounded by the light that fights to see.

Shining through every crack in hopes it soon will be.

The storms roll out but returns in time undue.

But freedom for the light is slowly torn in two.

Shining prooves so hard with clouds in constant hover.

Unwillingly and frightful, the light must always take cover.

No one gets to see the truth that hides behind the shame.

The light only dreams about the clouds that never came.

Sorrow and pain overtake the shadowed light.

Soon it will become taken by the night.

With all hope gone and dreams crushed at start.

The light is faced to sleep without a beating heart.

Deep and dark, without becoming overblown, or self indulgent. Wow, you've certainly improved, especially the clarity of your expression. I hope you can get around to commenting on my recent posts some day, it would be an honour.

    That was so amazing...
Light can never be hidden... Darkness is simply te absence of light and in all of us, there is light even though we dont see it shine, others do....

That's one of the most beautiful (sad) poems I've ever read.
