Sunset love

The other day
I sat stared
Just watching the sun set
Over the horizon.
I sat there...
Wrapped tight
In your warm embrace.
The breeze
Blowing through my hair.
The mist from the
Never ending body of water
Gently finding its place
On my delicate skin.
As the last glimpse of the sun
Was disappearing beyond the horizon,
He gently pulled me toward him
And kissed me with lips
That were ever so soft.
It was a kiss so passionate
That a sensational wave of shock
Coursed through my body
Stimulating every nerve.
He then stared
With his crystal blue eyes
Into mine
For what seemed to be
An eternity.
Then, from the gentle heart
Of this man,
With a voice so caring
So true...
Came the three words,
"I love you!"
