The Light of the Star

Every time I saw you,
I acted as if I didnâ??t know what to do.
Like I was shy,
But only towards this one guy.
Little by little did I know,
That my affections were starting to show.
Piece by piece,
He didnâ??t know.
The time around when he would let her go.
When I started to walk away,
I came back and noticed everything was Ok.
And that I could finally be with him
Without having to hide my feelings
I could be myself
I could be the real thing.
Didnâ??t have to cover up who I was
Or who I am
But even if I did
This guy would remain my man
When you love someone
You treat them right
And the way I am treated
Inspired me to write
Stories, poems, or even songs
Maybe we wonâ??t be together for long
But when I look back
And see how close we are
Maybe I can understand
The light of this star
