A sweetheart is the someone
You could write a book about
The one you love to be with
And you hate to be without.

A sweetheart is a knowing look
Or a hand within your own
The voice you always want to hear
Whenever you pick up the phone.

A sweetheart understands your moods
And laughs at what you say
Or sees you when you’re at your worst
But loves you anyway.

A sweetheart is the one you turn to
When things don’t go your way
Or calls you every now and again
Just to brighten up your day.

A sweetheart is the someone
That you’re always thinking of
And the very special reason
Why you know that your in love.

When my sweetheart is around
My heart doesn’t know what to do
That’s how I truly know
That my sweetheart is you!
