The moon

by angie A   Nov 14, 2005

Riding in a car
i spot the moon not that far
as i close my eyes and hope for a star.
the misty air
this frosty night
the moon that gives the dim skies light
the moon so round and pale
as i drive off it follows me with it's misty trail
the moon so dreamy and so high
now if only i could reach the cloudy sky
although there may be no star in sight
the moon still shines with delight
suddenly the moon drifts away
and with that the moon gives me desire for the next surprising day...
