Under the Rain

I step into the cold, wet night
Not a soul by my side

Dark as the night, my mood
Elusive is happiness
Praying for strength, for healing, for wisdom
Rain falls harder above me
Encased in cement
Surrounded by sadness
Shedding a thousand tears
I cry, for my helplessness
Out in the cold, dark night... I feel numb, detached
Nothing heals. Until angels close my eyes.
