Never Be Home

by k i k i   Nov 14, 2005

Confined in a small, unique space,
With everything feeling like a whirl.
A spinning current,
Nothing seems like the norm.
Paint ripped and walls smashed,
House, never a home.

Cold ghosts freeze the floors,
And the fire goes out straight away.
Eerie sense of being,
No self, no sense of freedom.
Disfigurement and haunted pictures,
Looking back on how far we have come.

Never be the same, this house,
Not since you left me alone.
No warmth, only the scared ghost,
Never wanting to exist.
No goodbye, no nothing,
A hit in the middle of the heart.

Pain at the sight of the end,
Finish of a short life.
You never saw me smile,
Or let me play in the sand with you.
Chance, I'll never get to see,
A happy face like I know you have.

Taken too soon, one breathe of air,
Once wasn't enough.
Too early to see the light of life,
Blue in the face, you couldn't cope.
Arms and legs so small,
Break of with a simple twist.

Beep, beep, beep,
There's nothing left.
A single strand of hair on your head,
All I hold in my pocket.
A locket that you should have worn
Now sitting in your grave.
