Home Is Nowhere

by Ben   Nov 14, 2005

The dust starts to settle
Then the wind blows it away
I once called this place home
But now I cant stay

Just another forsaken land
Which fades away
Forever in my memory
Finding somewhere new everyday

I donâ??t know what I call home
Iâ??m not sure where I begin
Iâ??ve left so many times
Feeling so empty within

The rocky shores of another land
Soon to replace old memories
With the thought of another temporary home
I know I will bury this land in the same cemetery

Swimming on the seas of change
Another nationâ??s flag embraces me
Itâ??s just another temporary home
But others just never see

The dust starts to settle
Then the wind blows it away
I once called this place home
But now I cant stay

Benny boy, (i hope you don't mind me calling you that) that was absolutely brillient. it had such depth and emotion. the subject was excellent too, not really touched upon. the words you used were so creative and rightly placed. i'm not sure which is my favorite stanza, but its out of the forth and fifth. I also really loved the way you used the same stanza at the openning and close of your poem. lastly, the title was well chosen, and i like the way it isn't said in the poem, but is the subject. brillient work.

P.S. if you could give some of mine a read that would be great. i'd love to hear your opinions
