Game Called Shame

by Katie Bennett   Nov 14, 2005

Game Called Shame

You tricked me into playing your game
You always knew you'd cause me pain

You knew from the beginning, right from the start
You'd love me and leave me and come to break my heart

You were in this all for your pride
You broke me and choked me and watched as I cried

You were in it for the one thing I said you'd never have
You stole it, you know it and it hurts me really bad

You always told me your love was so real
You lied as I cried from the burning pain I feel

You played the game and you said you won
As I repeatedly told you the game has just begun

I stare into your eyes while my heart aches in pain
And I tell you you won-the game we call shame
