Every Piece

by Katie Bennett   Nov 14, 2005

I do my best to steal myself away
From doing such harmful wrong
Because so deprived I have been
To be loving you so long

You've striped me of my dignity;
Belittled all my pride
You stole my innocence
And watched me as I cried

Funny how it is, though
That my heart, like glass, is shattered
Yet I love you with all the pieces
And to you, it didnt even matter

Left with my shattered existence
And memories of loving you
I repair the hurt inside
And start a life brand new

And with every piece of my shattered heart
That I picked up off the floor
I say this to you with such truth
I just dont love you anymore

Your last three poems are about things that have really happend, isn't it? You express yourself very well and I can recognise my own feelings in it.
