Answering Your Call

by ntv650   Nov 14, 2005

I have to confess Im your fool,
And at peace with the consequences,
But all's fair in love and hate.
And yes Im merciless at your feet,
Looking up and holding your gaze,
Though stalwart eyes I am defeat.

And I guess this explains just why,
When everything else falls down,
My heart is held by my only one.
And despite the words I speak,
The affection and love I shun,
Your eyes have my lock undone.

So might I seem to stand tall,
Be strong and suffer no pain,
The beast inside still answers your call.
And despite the words I choose,
The paths I turn to and take,
My destination is forever the same...
