LOST LOVE

by Karla Gordon   Nov 14, 2005

I tried to make you happy
Be there so you were not lonely
Nothing I do seems right
Disappointment just causing shame
Hurtful words cause me pain
I am a witch who is just mean
Stalking you its plain to see
To those who are not you and me
Judgment coming from all around
My confidence knocked to the ground
Tears shed are too many too count
Accusations yes but i am just me
A loving heart and very true soul
I seen a man in need of love
We laughed, we shared our hearts
This we both declare is true
Invasion by others made it hard
Confusing you from the start
I cannot please you this I know
Never asking or trying to have control
Just loving the only way I knew how.

I like this-very straightforward and totally honest. It is well written, perhaps could use a couple minor touch ups to flow smoother or add more impact, but what and how you say it and the emotion one feels in every line are what give it such honesty and power.
