for it was not Chance, not Fate
not simply a "roll of the dice," if I may
it was not Chance that curved her thoughts
for he does not meddle so
it was her own doing
tempted though she was
Free Will!
that which is both blessing and curse
for she chose wrongly
and so ill-fated was the world for her
for she ate that fruit which doomed her so
and in her choice we all were cursed
but cursed, or blessed, it lies in you
for now that choice is yours
now heed these words
your life is yours, to curse or bless
