Stepping on what used to me,
A life, a living creature.
Shells smashed into millions,
Swarms of flies haunt the place.
Sand turned grey, no colour,
The sea recedes back to green.
Coral fencing the coastline,
Marine life crawl the bed.
Mixture of the rainbow,
So beautiful, nearly dead.
Envy on what they haven't got,
A picture; an image. All gone.
Singing the songs,
Calling my prey, my future.
Look beneath the surface,
Killing the innocent, dying within.
Starfish crawling everywhere,
Broken hopes; nowhere to live.
Rubbish and remnants lay upon the beds,
No place to rest those weary legs.
Eyes looking in unknown places,
Trying their hardest for the answer.
Equations and mixed feelings,
Down under the deep isn't blue anymore.
One light is left,
To shine bright.
Alone, in darkness,
A breathe of relief is here.
Handing down the jewels,
Easements of the fear.
