Through the agony of life's less desirable moments,
an ocean of tears, unbearable pain, a ground swell of rejection,
we are told that spiritual growth will occur.
Does character truly require such sacrifice?
Disappointment, love lost, rapidly aging as
sorrow accelerates a life process that most desire to delay.
Must one endure the likes of this to reach high moral ground?
Or is this paradigm simply a myth meant to comfort the weary sans,
the scars of life become too apparent?
