Secondhand

by the one you forgot   Nov 15, 2005

So many things come secondhand,
So many things.
Donate what you've destroyed,
And in your mind say,
“Good Deed of the Day.”
Secondhand,
Already used,
Already given up,
Already stolen,
Already borrowed.
A secondhand life,
Passed down to the person who needed it most
Where nothing is new,
Everything’s borrowed,
Everyone’s blue,
And it's getting old.
