Secrets

by the one you forgot   Nov 15, 2005

Can I count on you
To keep my secrets?
Tell you things
That no one will ever hear.
Whisper secrets in your ear,
My own living nightmare,
Here on this earth.

People are disappearing,
And I know where they go.
Want to join them there,
But too many things hold me here.
Can’t go where I want,
Because all these things,
They hold me down.
I want to go away,
Never to return.
I won't run,
Don’t have to go far.
Just a few simple things
Keep me here,
But I want to leave so much.

I count on you
To keep my secrets,
Tell you my plans,
That no one will ever hear.
Whisper secrets in your ear
About my plan to leave
My living nightmare,
Here on this earth.
