A Creature Of Darkness

I've been running from my past,
A past too dark to be undone,
Wonder why I hide these feelings,
Constantly from everyone.

My very last salvation,
Is long gone, my time has passed,
Along with the untrue answers,
To the questions I've been asked.

I've hidden in the shadows,
To avoid being seen,
Contemplating what my existence,
on this planet even means.

I've lost so much along my way,
That I feel I'm not complete,
The very answers to their questions,
Are the same ones that I seek.

The tears of this forsaken,
Will never count as pain.
The people force me into shadow,
To be freed, or to be slain.

I am a monster,
A soulless human of the dark,
I will never be accepted,
Destined to be sorrow's mark.

I'm seeking sanctuary,
From these painful tears I cry,
Every day I'm told I'm worthless,
Every day I slowly die.
