Still in Love

I turn and look you in the face,
Taking in your warm embrace.
Turn around as you let go,
try not to let my tears show.

Knowing now we are just friends,
How hard I tried to make amends,
Knowing somehow I wasn\'t enough,
Now I guess I have to be tough.

Thinking of how you did me wrong,
Thinking of how I always stayed strong,
Remembering how I always felt,
That smile of yours just makes me melt.

Everytime I look in those big brown eyes,
Comes that lump in my throat I now despise,
It sends a shiver up my spine,
I know you must be sick of hearing that line.

Everything I say is entirely true,
What I\'m trying to say...
Is I\'m still in love with you.

this is about a guy i dated for a VERY long time....im still in love with him but i have no idea why...i hate everything about him so idk why i cant get over this...ive had new bfs but none of them even compared...but please vote and comment!

    I know the feeling....But you'll have other boyfriends it's just that none of them can compare to what you two had...I know it sucks....But maybe you can't let go or maybe you don't want to I don't blame it's not easy to get over a love

    I know exactly how you feel..my ex i love soo much and he ended up dumpin me and ended up with my best friend..but i still love him after all the shit he put me through and idk why..i have had other boyfriends but like you said none of them have ever compared nor will they and its soo hard to let go and give up..i really liked this poem it made me think of all shit thats going on now..and i think ur writing is awesome..can you check out some of my stuff..
