Twisted beauty

twisted beauty

i've been hurt so many times,
i dont want to be hurt again,
i dont wanna be friends,
yet i always seem to give in.

we play each other off,
like we dont know whats goin on,
but we both know exactly,
and soon i'm gonna be gone.

whats going on here?
are we friends or not?
we talk shit all the time,
but we rarely ever get caught.

we fought,
you won,
we fought,
i'm gone.

out the door,
into the streets,
over the bridge,
i follow the beats.

my heart is loud,
its rythum so fast,
its like a drum,
all erasing the past.

erasing the day we meet,
all the times together,
all the secrets we shared,
its like the weather.

hot cold,
humid misty,
as i look back,
everything was all twisty.

twisted to make shapes,
twisted like a curly q,
spirals all around us,
its just me and you.

there are many strings,
that make up this twine,
its beautiful, yet confusing,
i cant tell which is mine.

many people see,
but they dont understand,
what we go through,
they think its all planned.

yet plans aren't our style..
its a mass of twisted feeling,
our own twisted beauty..
thats not worth planning.
