It is indeed sad, but somehow sadness can be beautifull when put out right.
I think this is a good poem, not your best, but good and I suggest you keep on writing loads!

Everybody has a different way of expressing dark truths about their true nature. This poem certainly sums this up with your use of "the mask". Anyone with any emotional difficulty can relate to falsifying emotions when communicating with other people. It's a daily struggle that I'm told we conquer.

This Is So True! It's as though you have seen into my own experiences! I wish that none of us had to hide behind the mask and yet it is all that keeps us safe.
I hope that one day you will find someone to whom you will not need to show the mask. Be yourself through writing, it is the best you can do. I love all your poems.
