Compassionate Angel

by Fernanda   Nov 17, 2005

How can it be?
A creature like this?
You touch all with your gentle ways, even me.
You are a dream come true,
A privilege that isn't meant to exist.

Yet still here you are.
All around this sinful world
Invading as many ears as you can
Melting with love the cruel rock heart of man.

Your words in any tongue
Share undeserved happiness with anyone
If only there is will anything can be sung.
This tide of waves can't be seen nor touched
Yet it can be felt and heard.

Should we call ourselves lucky?
Or was it some terrible mistake?
This angel, present that fell from the sky,
Isn't meant to shine in the darkness.
Such glory and incredible light
Doesn't belong in this madness.

What angel so compassionate,
Would be in this world we call ours?
In case you haven't found out yet,
This angel is music, of course.
