For days I cried myself to sleep
Stood alone in my empty room
For weeks I waited by the window seal

To see the sparkle in your bright green eyes
To laugh and play like we use to do

Now you act so different, you act so strange

I lost you to a growing fad
The thoughts of everyone, but me, win

The black, the chains, the hateful words
Hide the beautiful soul inside
The loving, caring, thoughtful boy
