Through the eyes of a child

Daddy, I heard their laughter loud,
The pixies in the garden!
But they left coz you said they weren't real,
Oh how I wish they'd come again.

You scared away the fairies Daddy,
They heard you cursing loud!
They hate the way you spoke to me,
Daddy, I only wish to make you proud.

Daddy, the garden gnomes they spoke to me!
I swear I speak the truth!
Why did you scream those hurtful words?
Of how you wished to take my youth?

Why can't you believe me Daddy, please?
For last night an angel came.
She said she'd come back and visit me,
She only wished to take my pain.

Do not be angry Daddy, please,
For what the angel done.
She said you loved us both so much,
And we cried, both me and Mum

Mummy, I'm sorry you are all alone,
But the angel said don't cry,
The garden is now a fairyland,
Where we won't ever say goodbye!

Mummy, I heard their laughter loud,
The pixies in the trees!
With Daddy gone, they don't get scared,
And together, we can all be free.
