Its not the first time it happened,
Just the first time someone found out,
We sat and talked for hours,
Trying to decide what life is all about.

I told you I wasnt happy,
And for a while now Ive been sad,
I told you I never once thought,
Things would get this bad.

You said you wanted to see me,
Asked me to show up at school the next day,
You wanted me to promise,
I honestly didnt know what to say.

I wanted you to see me,
But I didnt want to lie,
I couldnt promise you anything,
But I told you I would try.

You said sorry you didnt notice,
And that I was really scaring you,
You said you were going to help me,
Do what you could to help get me though.

Well get through this together,
Together well deal with this strife,
I dont think you realize,
Tonight you saved my life.
