Tangled Weed

by k i k i   Nov 18, 2005

Head banged on the gravel road,
Left to suffer in water alone.
Murky riverbed weeping with weeds,
Tangled and torn, you want to give in.
Green eyes fill with the poison,
That will eventually make you sleep.

Passers by take no notice,
You're just another one who's gone under.
Flicking the switch,
Time can't be passed; it's real.
Tracks made of the ones that came and went,
No one knows where you are.

What a night of partying,
Laughing with the girls, the usual.
Left alone for a minutes,
Will you ever be able to survive?
Taken advantage of, you're only 16,
Ripped and torn, will you ever love?

Weed strapped across your forehead,
A mark, the tattoo that will always be felt.
Reaching for any hope,
You try your hardest to carry on.
Falling under, there's nothing left,
With one quick dip, you're gone.

Drinking and all the hype,
Alone, you never will walk without wondering
