Looking for God [Allah]

I am a Muslim and have always been
Allah is my god and Islam is my deen
I worship Allah, I know He is there
No doubt, I know he is everywhere

Some say he is up there, in the sky
Some say he is down here, together with us
I know he is with me in my heart
I do not need to see Him,
He sees me - no fuss

My god is in my heart, he is in my mind
he is rooted inside me for me to find,
I sense His presence in my heart -
When my minds elsewhere
I sense His presence in my mind -
When my hearts in despair

When i am confused and I need help
I seek for god when I read and pray
I do not look up or wonder off
I know he is there, I know he will stay
When I am upset and hurt and all wound up
I try not to get angry and irritable, or difficult,
I know it is just the will of god
I wait and strive but do not give up
It is what he got in store for me,
Whatever happened was meant to be,
I keep my cool and make believe I am fine
Things will change, I know, in time

When a problem comes to stress me out,
To bring me down and make me cry,
I call upon my powerful god
Upon whom my present, past
and future lie

I am looking past all my circumstances
Through to the peaceful Heavens above;
Hoping my prayers have reached the heart of my lord -
All I want is to rest in His love.
