Mom

by rachel   Nov 18, 2005

During these many years, some tend to stray away
Follow the crowd and lose all track of their beginning
And although I nearly fell away and entered into a herd
She brought me back, held me close, and took my hand to hold

Perfection is a strong word but doesn't begin to comprehend
Cradles and soft songs only allow me to continue
So deeply do I feel for her, this wondrous one of mine
And although there's appearing leather she still has time for my games

So if she leaves this place, I know I'll not be so alone
For my mother, beautiful is she, is all the hero I'll need
