The Pretenders

Its funny how
you can feel as though
you could spend the rest of your life
feeling the way you do
but yet
all you really want
is the pain to go away

no one really wants
to live their life in shadow
so in order to make it feel OK
you pretend

but yet you hate the pretenders
the ones who fake the pain
the darkness, the alone feeling
that you wish was fake
the feeling you pretend to welcome

so why do we hate the ones
we are most like?

because we hate ourselves

    True..i loevd the content, the idea and even the voac of this poem but the structure and flow was a bit of..i think it could be improved a lot but it's good!!
