The Capture of Saddam

by david kessel   Dec 16, 2003

In days of yore,
When some insane dictator
Would push his weight around
No one gave a damn,
But now, often sooner more than later
He will be tracked and found
Like Saddam.

In our world of satellites and cable,
Smart bombs and other electronic means,
No brutal thug or despot will be able
To circumvent the wrath of the Marines,

The Army, Navy, Airforce and others,
Who'll be on him like flies on cow sh*t-
If no one else around there bothers
To bump him off, well, then it's time to hit

His war machine and system of oppression
So hard that it will tumble from its base.
So what if weaklings call it an aggression-
And Fr*gs and Kr*uts think it's a disgrace?!

They sit in their com-fort-able chairs
And talk about Planetary Law
While hundreds die in dungeons; someone cares
Enough to smash the cruel tyrants's jaw.

For all the killings, sufferings and woes
That he has caused in his ungodly reign,
He's now faced the just and potent blows
Of our forces in his sad domain.

And there he is, a shadow of a leader
Who, with a tail in between his legs,
Fled to a murky cellar with no shit*er,
His pride is lost, his power- turned to dregs.

And if an autocrat you are, and are in power-
You'd better look at his pathetic mug
And better change your ways or we will shower
Bombs on you, too, you sick and cruel thug!

Be nice to people in your trust, you leaders-
They're trusting their very lives to you!
Remember, you are caretakers, feeders
And guides to them and their parents, too.

As in this world we are interconnected,
Atrocities no longer you can hide-
And if you can't behave as God directed
Do not expect the world to take your side.

I hope that wars like this won't be repeated,
And pray that force
Will not
Be used again,
That he who's in the presidential chair seated
Can truly love and serve
His fellow man.
