I'm Lost In A Day

Sometimes it hurts to smile
And laughing seems like pain
The dreams and the voices
I'm cutting once again

I can't exactly say why
But it's causing another yesterday
I'll never be able to move on
When I'm moving the wrong way

It hurts to pretend
It pains me to hide
I wish it were a simple case
Where I woke on the wrong side

But nothing will get better
And nothing is ever fine
No-one will notice
I'm holding a "help me" sign

Tomorrow brings confusion
But yesterday brought pain
So where am I to go
When this happens all again

I'm lost in a day
Where there will never be an end
No-one can bring me light
Not even my best friend

The love of my life
He can never know
I can't share this feeling
I know it will hurt him so

I will love him forever more
But this is a secret kept well
I'm not putting a price on us
Cause it's nothing to give or sell

I'm lost in another today
Where my life skips a beat
The fire burns my heart
I can no longer stand the heat

    Maybe because it's late and I just had a butt-load of ice cream, but it was really hard for me to follow your poem to understand what was going on. You're not telling a story you're telling how you feel... SO I think it's really origional, I like the last stanza. 5/5

    I relate so much to this poem

    When this happens all again

    and i esspecialy like this line. the whole thing had such good flow to it and a steady rhym scheme. i love it, thanks for sharing.
