I know Now

I remember
how I used to be.
The one that was always happy
yea that was me.

I used to think that love
was to be cherished.
That in this world
it was the fairest.

But now I'm different
I've completely changed.
Now I know love
is completely deranged.

All it does
is make you cry.
It breaks your heart
and makes you want to die.

One minute you may be happy
then your so sad.
One day you may be sane
then the next completely mad.

You see I know the truth
cause of everything I've been through.
You think you love a guy
then all of a sudden it's you find out it's not true.

Don't get me wrong
the guys are to blame too.
But love is what gets you hooked
then there's nothing you can do.

Cause love is like a drug
It is so addicting.
The first time you experience it
your life from there is ending.

You may not know it's there
but it takes control.
You have no say
you just begin to fall.

Cause that guy will break
your fragile heart.
It is taken from you
then torn and ripped apart.

But all of this
is because of love.
So what is this
happily ever after people speak of.

There's no such thing
I've realized that now.
I once believed in love
But I know the truth now.
