Closhure, my friend no more.

by Natasha   Nov 19, 2005

Have you ever thought of all I've done for you?
you lived in my house, and you ate all my food.
when you were down, I lifted you up.
when you were sad, I told you to never give up.
when your mum beat you, I kicked her in return.
when you were unsure or scared, I wiped away concern.
when the drugs took over you, I never let you down.
when you went into rehab, I carried you around.
you were like my angel, my soul mate perhaps.
I was there to pick you up, when your life had just collapsed.
friends stick together, no matter what happens.
they help each other until return to the heavens.
if that is the case, tell me what happened.
why aren't you my friend anymore, where is the love, the hope, the companion?
when I fell down, I was just on my own.
when I had drowned, your loved had flown.
when I was raped, you weren't by my side.
I was alone, emotions I had to hide.
when someone held a knife to my throught.
you stood there, like you didn't know.
you went suddenly deaf, when I was to scream.
you unconsciouses, killing my dreams.
friends no more, love has gone.
affection disappeared, this friendship is done!

I liked it a lot and i don't know if was intentional but when the poem switches mood the rhyms(sp?) and rhythm breaks down which i found was very effective

    Hi,
Honestly..there was something lacking in the start...as the words didnt carried that weight...but as the poem carries on...it started to mean a lot...take care..hope u would not mind me being honest...
