Behind covered eyes…

Behind covered eyes
Out comes the real me.
Out comes my pain and sadness
And how I wasn’t meant to be.

Behind covered eyes
No one sees my pain
Or my beautiful red lines
Which lie across every vein

Behind covered eyes.
No one stops to care
My “family” don’t understand
They don’t notice when I’m not there

Behind covered eyes
The world stops, sighs then turns away
Leaving me here in the hell hole
Letting me die more each day

Behind covered eyes
There’s no one there to wipe my tears
And no one sees this monster
Feading off my fears

Behind covered eyes
They don’t know, how much can I take?
They watch me fall apart
They watch my heart break

Behind covered eyes
No one hear my call
No one hears me cry
No one, nothing at all….

    That was a great poem. powerful emotions in every stanza.i especially think the closing stanza was great, particularly hard hitting.

    P.S. thanks for reading 'When'. i don't know why its so poorly rated, but as i say...its one of my favorites...if not my favorite. i'm grad you enjoyed it. if you want to try another 'bitter twisted fool' is a good one...in my opinion
