This Little Girl

by Forsaken Redeemer   Nov 19, 2005

This little girl lying in front of you,
With her grave so small,
Took the weight of the world on her shoulders,
She dealt with it all.
She dealt with rape, violence at home,
She didn't cry when mummy and daddy hit her,
It didn't hurt when she used the blade when she was older,
That was just how things were.
She would clean up her mummy
When she was drunk and out cold,
She became an adult for her parents
At just six years old.
She wouldn't tell anyone
When daddy came in her room at night,
All the things he did to her,
To her little body under the moonlight.
She didn't tell the teachers at school
When daddy started getting violent,
When she started to say no,
Then again went silent.
She didn't tell anyone
When she started turning to pain for release,
She simply watched the blood flow,
The scars form, it bought peace.
She didn't tell anyone all those plans she made
To make it all go away,
How afraid she was to do it,
But she simply couldn't stay.
She didn't want to look after her parents any more,
Didn't want to stay here any longer,
Didn't want to be raped anymore by daddy,
She couldn't be any stronger.
So she left a note and said goodbye,
She told all that mummy and daddy had done,
She told how she had hated her life,
How she always lived in a world without a sun.
So now this little girl lies in front of you,
In her tiny coffin, alone and cold,
Buried in the ground and sent to a better life,
Dead at just ten years old.
