There She Lays Without Me

The shot rings out around the world
I know my best friend is gone
I can feel the missing whole in my heart
How long has she been like this
How long has she been gone
My mind lost in wonder
As i walk toward her grave
Tears roll down my cheeks like rain in a thunderstorm
Each drop heavy and hard
As if they were pounding holes in my already broken, and scarred heart
I know it feels so wrong
I'm supposed to be in that box not her
She wanted to be cremated but no don't listen to her friend
I want to run and jump in the casket
And float to heaven with her
But my heart tells me she's already there
I lean forward to dash to her to hold her
But his arm blocks my way
He turns me into his chest and i begin to cry even harder
I look at her grave over his shoulder
And i feel a single tear fall onto my back he is crying to
Suddenly I'm not so alone in this horrible world
I miss and she is gone
But i must move on
